I have a couple of friends coming over soon to make some Simply Adorned locket inserts and cards using the "Charming" set. This is one of the sample cards I'm going to have on display.

This card does use SU cardstock, designer paper and ribbon, but the image is a digital one I downloaded from the oh-so-talented Mo Manning. Mo is an author of children's books, and she also shares her amazing artistic talent through her blog and online store. I made this card for Kasey Nusbickel, who is currently starring in a musical production of "Anne of Green Gables" at Village Theatre in Issaquah, WA. I hope Kasey likes the card!

I am having fun with my owl punch! Here's a card I made for our granddaughter, Amanda, for her 14th birthday.

I really love the set, French Foliage, from the current Holiday mini. I'm ashamed to say how long I've had it, and just today for the first time inked it up. This card is for our friend, Dave, whose birthday is early next month.

I needed two birthday cards this week, so I decided to try the techniques I learned recently at the class with Michelle Zindorf. I made two almost identical cards, both using the "Just Believe" set. For the first one, I stamped the flowers with black craft ink, then clear embossed. For the second one, I used the direct-to-rubber technique, then went over the stamped flowers with a VersaMarker pen and clear embossed.

I finally broke down and bought the adorable Owl Punch! Well, I had just seen too many cute cards made with it. I love the way you can change the owls' eyes to look at a certain object, look straight ahead, look cross-eyed, etc. I made this card for my friends, Ellen and Dave, who are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary in a few days.

Recently, my daughter and I had the privilege of spending an afternoon in a class taught by Michelle Zindorf. Michelle has developed some amazing techniques using a brayer. (A brayer looks like a miniature paint roller with a hard, smooth rubber roller.) Below are the cards I made in the class. All three scenes started with a piece of plain Whisper White cardstock. Please visit Michelle's blog to see more of her beautiful cards.

One of the best places to get ideas for great cards is the SU catalog. Here's a card CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) right out of the catalog. The stamp sets are "For All You Do," and "Vintage Vogue." The cardstock is Baja Blue, Old Olive and Whisper White. The bird and branch are made with the SU bird punch, which is a favorite toy of mine! A quick, simple, and beautiful card!

My first Christmas card of 2010! This is so quick and easy, I'll probably make a lot of them this year. It uses Shimmery White paper and the Northern Flurry embossing folder and my Big Shot.

I finally got around to using the beautiful set from the Summer mini, Watercolor Trio. I certainly hope SU carries it over into the next catalog, since it's such a beautiful and versatile set. For the background, I used my favorite wheel, Very Vintage, and I put a little bling on the flowers with our new rhinestones. Colors are Rose Red, Bashful Bride and Pear Pizzaz.

I've been having such fun with Stampin' Up!'s new stamp set, Greeting Card Kids! Of all the coloring media I've tried, my favorites are my Copic Markers. I love the shading you can get with them!

The first one is a Thank You note I sent to my friend, Judy. I punched the image with my 1-3/4" circle punch and the scallop around it with the new 2-3/8" scallop circle punch.

Greeting Card Kids

The second card is for our daughter and son-in-law's anniversary, which is tomorrow. This is admittedly a very unusual use for these cute back-to-school kids, but they're such a cute couple, they remind me of Cathy & Tom!

I needed a door prize for my needlework group meeting last month, and this is what I came up with. The purse is sized to hold 4-6 standard-size cards and envelopes, but I used it for needlework goodies, and a gift card in the little front pocket.

This is the card I made for my friend Sue. Her birthday is tomorrow! The stamp set is "Great Friend," and the colors are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White and Bashful Blue. The catalog year is just about over, and I decided today in a mini-panic that I needed to get one more spool of that gorgeous Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon. Fortunately, it's still in stock so it'll be on its way to me soon (along with a few other Last Chance goodies)!

Great Friend
