Welcome to Barbara Joyce's Blog

I just love these little pumpkins, and always enjoy watercoloring with my Watercolor Wonder Crayons. All the colors are from the Earth Elements set.

Merrier Halloween

See? I promised I'd be back with updates and new cards. I hope you're checking back to see the goodies!

I made this birthday card a while back and it won a prize at my up-upline's get together. I was very surprised that it was voted the best of the swap cards that day. It takes a bit of time to fuss with the flower pieces, but I do love the result. It's made with the Birds and Blooms Sizzlets set, the Little Leaves Sizzlets die, and the Top Note die in the Big Shot.

I just love the striking colors in this card! They're part of the new In Colors palette for this year. The colors are Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, and Rich Razzleberry. SU does like alliteration!

The leaves are stamped with black craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The leaf design is from the stamp set, "Great Friend."

I've been working on a few new cards for you to see!

This first one was made with the set, "The More The Merrier," which you can earn for free by hosting a stamp camp for some of your friends and family, either in your home or mine. Ask me how!

Merry Pink Cupcakes

I embossed the cupcakes with black craft ink and clear embossing powder, then used SU's great markers to color in the cupcakes. For a final touch, I painted Crystal Effects on the frosting!

The next card was made with "For All You Do," which might just be my favorite new set in the catalog.

For All You Do

Here's a picture of all the stamps in the set.

To make the dots on the larger flower, I stamped the flower in So Saffron ink, then stamped the dot stamp in Pumpkin Pie, then "kissed" the two stamps together, then stamped on my Whisper White cardstock.

To make the color gradations on the smaller flower, I used the "rock and roll" technique.

Here's the card I made for my daughter and son-in-law's anniversary.

C&T Anniversary Card

It features a very unusual color combination, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, and Pixie Pink. My Big Shot was used to die-cut the letters, and the adorable birds are from the stamp set "Love You Much."

A big thank you goes to my Canadian friend, Carrie, for the idea for this card. You can visit her website, to see more beautiful cards.

This card uses the adorable set, Crazy for Cupcakes.

And last, a die-cut card made with the Fresh Cuts stamp set.

I made this card for my niece-in-law, using my Big Shot die cutting machine. I absolutely love this new toy!
